Interwiew with Attique Rafique Memon Operation Manager at Zab Fm 106.6 "SZABIST"

This is Attique Rafique Memon from Pakistan, i beleive being a social person; at every age we need to learn different aspects of life in various fields, as i did my Masters in Mass -communiccation and journalism and enrolled in MBA for marketing and advertisment with this i am working with ZAB FM 106.6 as an Operations Manager & senior producer for programmimng and productions since last 4 years before i worked with Highway FM network and HOT FM 105 for almost 2 years. I also worked with Awaz Tv for a year as an anchor, model and director for entertainment based shows.

Do you own a production house or are you working for a production Company?

At ZAB FM 106.6 we have our own production house for all sort of progrming including: documentries, interviews, celebrity sketch, career counselling, view & reviews, guest lectures, research based shows and lastly business oriented shows.

Which producers, songwriters and/or artists do you see as your primary inspirations?

Primary inspiration was actually M/s. Durdana, Mr. Anwer Maqsood, Bushra Ansari, & non other than Mr. Moin Akhtar (Late) due to their otstanding performance in semalcastings.

How did you first connect with them?

I use to listen their shows and got inspired them, i got chance to interview  with M/s. Durdana butt and Bushra Ansari and wanted to take an interview of Mr. Anwer Maqsood as well.

Can you describe, briefly, how do you work together on a project?

Without a prpoer team i can’t imagine to get expected results and for the acomplishment of any project you need a proper team and i have a very strong and focused team and we use to decide our path after a mutual discussion regaring the project and later on proceed for the path leading to success.

What is distinctive about a Production house you own or you work with?

Basically ZAB FM 106.6 is pakistan’s first educational radio station and its 24/7 non commercail station in twon, we focuss to dissiminate the educational content in our routine tranmission thats our speciallity that makes our production too distinctive to others.

Do you have a favorite project that you’ve worked on?

I did many project but i  have a dream project for future and i wish i will work on it, which will cover the different aspects of life specaily our values, morals, culutre, richues and long lasting customs; which are basiclly our identity.

Is there any artist you want to work with or that you have not yet had the opportunity to work with?

Pakistan is basically filled with different talented peoples and here are many peeoples who are best at their fields, being a media associated i wish i will work with M/s. Durdana Butt, Mr. Anwer Maqsood and Mrs. Bushra Ansari.

What can we expect from your Production company int the future?

Expectations leads to more result oriented work and i believe with limited resources we are performing our best at town and globally through www.zabfm.org and we will definaltely launch some specail shows related to routine life as a guidnace as we are doing from last 4 years.

Do you have any advice for young people who want become producers in the field of media (Music/ television/ Film)?

For all aspiring young peoples out their i would love to sugest them give your best to your work and please don’t give up till you find the satisfictory results and lastly please believe yourself don’t underestimated yourself......all the very best and highly thankfull to Iman for such a great opportunity.

What do you like to do for fun outside of working?

I would love to trvel at various historic places with friends and keep photography for capturing the moments besides would love being a part of celebrations of friends and family.
